Extracurricular & After School Programs

San Diego Virtual School is expanding its selection of extracurricular activities and after school programs. We want students to benefit from a complete school experience, which is why we many free field trips and activities for students to make the most of their time in school.

We understand the importance of the social development that’s learned through extracurricular activities. Students who participate in these activities develop strengths, talents and interests that can’t be taught in a classroom. As a result, students who are actively involved in extracurricular activities have high character traits and learn leadership skills while working collaboratively with their peers. Not to mention, college admissions and scholarship committees look for students who have helped pave a path to their independence as an adult through extracurricular activities.

After School Programs for High School Students

In addition to prom held every year, our students enjoy monthly field trips to places like the San Diego Zoo. For the full high school experience, our students also benefit from a real graduation ceremony!

In addition to online learning, we offer hands-on learning activities through science labs at many of our locations. This year, our students have the opportunity to participate in science labs throughout different areas of San Diego.
