Cristy Tsai – Electives

Hello! I am Mrs. Tsai and I am the Electives teacher starting my second year at San Diego Virtual School. I really do love many different subjects! I majored in Sociology at UC San Diego and have a multiple subject teaching credential with authorizations in English and Math from San Diego State. I also have a law degree, but decided to go into education because I want to have a positive impact on students’ lives and I love helping each individual learn, grow and succeed. I am originally from Fresno, California, but moved to San Diego for college and never left! I am now married and have three children ranging from elementary school to high school. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family, reading, watching movies, and gardening.

Adriana Idano

Hi! My name is Adriana Idano, I am a San Diego native and enjoy taking advantage of the beauty our city has to offer. I love learning about and improving my health. This includes working out and cooking healthy meals. My favorite workouts are pilates, yoga, and hiking. I also own and operate a local Non Profit Organization where I help people in need. Some other things that bring me joy are: gardening, decorating my home, reading books, ANYTHING BEACH RELATED, hanging out with my amazing Fiancé, and traveling to learn about new cultures. I have worked in education since I was 18 years old. I started off working with at risk youth in Juvenile Hall and summit sites. I also have worked at The Monarch School, a school for students impacted by homelessness. I have personally overcome many obstacles in life and because of that I have made it my life mission to help our youth see their potential and reach their goals. My hope is to inspire students to break social barriers and overcome generational cycles through education. I am thrilled to be a part of SDVS!
